Santa Cruz, CA — August 4, 2015.
Blume Distillation LLC, a leading provider of appropriate-scale biorefinery alcohol fuel systems, announced today its support for and participation in the American Renewable Energy Day (AREDAY) Summit. Blume Distillation CEO David Blume will be featured in a special armchair discussion with Jim Farrell, Managing Director of CC3IC where they will detail Blume Distillation’s equipment sale and the solutions it will provide for its new rural South African, Numbitrax LLC project. Blume is part of a stellar assemblage of speakers including former Australian Prime Minister Hon. Kevin Rudd, UN Vice Chair, Timothy Wirth, Trammel S. Crow, the Crow Family Foundation, Gen. Wesley Clark, Co-Chair Growth Energy and many other industry and thought leaders. Blume’s “armchair” interview will take place Tuesday, August 11 at 1:00pm at the AREDAY open-to-the-public Summit taking place August 10–14, 2015, in Snowmass, Colorado.
Promoted by the American Renewable Energy Institute (AREI), and held in collaboration with the internationally recognized resort of Snowmass Village near Aspen, Colorado, the12th Annual Summit addresses global climate change challenges, ideas and solutions that will help shape the UN Climate Change Conference (UNFCCC COP 21) in Paris this December. “Racing Climate Change is the theme of this year’s AREDAY Summit,” said Chip Commins Chair and CEP of AREI. “We have assembled thought leaders and change agents from a myriad of sectors who are all driven by the urgency of creating and implementing climate change solutions and practices that will support President Obama’s call to action addressing climate change. There are a multitude of critical issues driving us toward a tipping point that clearly require urgent action and increased momentum. Having very innovative companies with in-place technology such as Blume Distillation helps us demonstrate that there are proven solutions that we can implement right now to help bring carbon neutral balance to our energy needs globally.”
“Blume is a young company, but we are making important strides in helping address life-critical issues globally,” said David Blume, founder and CEO of Blume Distillation. “At AREDAY we look forward to detailing the benefits and the positive impacts of our new South African Biorefinery waste-to-energy project. We are working with Numbitrax, to create new non-exportable jobs, to repurpose waste stream resources, and to replace expensive and toxic biomass and fossil fuel use for indoor cooking and heating, transportation, farm machinery, irrigation pumps and electricity generation with low-cost, locally produced alcohol fuel (bioethanol) and high-return coproducts including highly beneficial organic soil amendments.”
The AREDAY Summit is a unique forum where political, business and thought leaders come together to focus on climate change and carbon sequestration issues and solutions. “Blume Distillation enables the use of localized sources of waste and surplus carbohydrate-, starch- and sugar-rich resources in the US and around the world to help meet growing energy demand without any increased greenhouse gas emissions.” said Jim Farrell, Managing Director of CC3IC and AREDAY Board member. “They have a very practical and shovel-ready solution to rising energy demands and the associated environmental impacts globally. I look forward to discussing their innovative appropriate-scale bioethanol solution and its ability to expedite the transformation of liquid fuel production toward a sustainable future with Mr. Blume in our armchair conversation at AREDAY.”
