Blume Distillation LLC, a leading provider of appropriate-scale Biorefinery alcohol fuel systems, announced today its support for and participation in the American Renewable Energy Day (AREDAY) Summit. Blume Distillation CEO, David Blume joins a stellar assemblage of speakers including America’s 39th President Jimmy Carter and many other industry and thought leaders for the three day, open to the public Summit, taking place August 10- 13, 2014 in Aspen Colorado.
Promoted by the American Renewable Energy Institute (AREI), the 2014 Summit focuses on the “Great Transition” America and the world are undertaking to move from toxic fossil fuel usage to clean and abundant renewable energy solutions. Blume will be featured in a panel discussion Wednesday August 13th at 1:30pm titled “Driving Away From Fossil Fuels”. The discussion will be moderated by General Wesley Clark and will include, Morgan Williams, Lawrence Bloom and Film Producer Peter Byck.
“Blume Distillation provides some of the most exciting developments in biofuels addressing carbon issues. Company Founder David Blume has designed a solution to reduce carbon and increase economic and environmental benefits on a local scale that are unparalleled,” said Chip Comins, Chair and CEO of AREI. “We look forward to presenting this technology at the AREDAY Summit.”
The AREday Summit attracts hundreds of distinguished scientists, educators, international business leaders, financial experts, student activists, renewable energy authorities, technology innovators and representatives of the non-governmental organization (NGO) environmental movement. This year’s program features a luncheon honoring President Carter and his years of tireless work on behalf of renewable energy programs. Carter also participates in an armchair conversation with AREI President, Sally Ranney. Both events take place on Tuesday, August 12.
“The rising cost of fossil fuels, combined with their environmental impact, continues to focus global attention on the need for a fundamental transformation of liquid fuel production”, said David Blume, Founder and CEO of Blume Distillation. Former President Jimmy Carter is an unrivaled champion of renewable energy adoption. He initiated the 50 cent a gallon Crude Oil Windfall Profit Tax Act (P.L. 96-223) that literally launched the alcohol and biofuel development revolution of the ‘80s. AREday provides an ideal forum to pay tribute to the Carter vision and to present our solutions for using local waste and surplus carbohydrate, starch and sugar-rich resources to help meet the growing worldwide energy demand while immediately reducing toxic greenhouse gas emissions. We are delighted to be participating in and supporting this event.”
